2012-2013 Season:
The first tournament of the season was the Racer Classic tournament in Lima, Ohio. This tournament had a local television broadcast for the team finalists. The University of Kansas Bowling Team won this tournament, but unfortunately, due to an ineligible player, we had to forfeit our scores, and did not get the power points. Throughout this season, we have had many downfalls, but this is what has made the team stronger. The KU Bowling Team has been selected to bowl Sectionals in Las Vegas, NV. Hopefully the KU Bowling Team can continue their streak of making it to nationals.

Summary of Sectionals
The 2013 Sectionals tournament is one that all teams hope to come out with a smile on their face. For many, this may be the last college tournament that they will bowl. This would be the result that the University of Kansas had to go through. Unfortunately, we were unable to hold our own and advance into nationals. This meant that the 2013 Sectionals tournament would be the last one for seniors Nick Campfield and Kyle Turner; as well as the University of Kansas bowling team for the 2012-2013 season. When finished bowling, and listening/watching for results and finding out that your team had not advanced, nothing but sadness hits the players leaving, and their team mates. Kyle Turner and Nick Campfield have both been to nationals before, and they would have both loved to share that experience with the team that we had this year. Each and every one of us will be thinking about how we felt at the end of this sectionals tournament for a long time! We will try harder and harder each year to not feel this again and hopefully, one day, be the team to walk out of the bowling alley with smiles on our faces.
Story of our Journey and Path at Sectionals
The University of Kansas bowling team left Wichita State University on a charter bus at 8pm. The bus ride lasted a total of 19 hours. Upon arrival, many of the athletes on this team were ready for bed, in order to focus on what was about to be
happening that weekend. We either compete in our last tournament, or we advance to nationals. After the first 4 game block, we found ourseleves to be in 4th place. But this isn't where our happiness had ended. After the first day, we
found ourselves to be in 7th place, but only 97 pins shy of 4th place. We still had joy and happiness on our faces because we knew that these 97 pins could easily be made up. Coming into the next day, we had the same game plan; to
control the pocket and make our spares. Unfortunately, this wasnt enough to advance to nationals. This is when the loss of our two seniors and that this was our last tournament as a team had really hit us. All in all, each and every one
of us may have had our ups and downs with each other, but we all knew that we had to come together in order to be what we wanted to be. We did this, but our performance as a team at sectionals, wasn't enough to advance.
The list of our games will be below.
